As reported by Philly, Erick Thorir was rumored to retract his interest in purchasing the football club after his bid was not fulfilled.

It is believed that Erick’s involvement in the Inter Milan football team could help their ambition to acquire a new stadium.

Inter Milan currently occupies the Gusseppe Meazza stadium which has a seating capacity of 80 thousand. The stadium is currently shared with its rival team, AC Milan. The stadium is renamed to San Siro whenever the team is playing. Both clubs rented the stadium from the local governments in Milan.

Update:

Erick Thohir has bought Massimo Moratti’s, the current owner, shares of the Inter Milan team. With this $475 million deal, Thohir and his International Sports Capital company now own 70% of Inter Milan
