Indonesia Is Blamed for Flooding in England
Extreme weather also swept across Europe including the UK. Queen Elizabeth’s country is currently hit by massive flooding.
The Met Office (Meteorological Office) or the British Meteorological Agency concluded that the weather in Europe is affected by weather extremes from the other hemisphere, including Indonesia. The excessive rainfall in Indonesia was pointed out to be one of the main causes.
According to the Met Office, weather extremes occurred in two regions, namely the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. This bad weather affected the pattern of changes in the Atlantic clouds over the Pacific Ocean and North America.
This condition is closely related to the emergence of storms in the UK throughout the December and January period of this year.
The Met Office explains that a large change in wind direction in the Pacific were driven by an increase in rainfall patterns in Indonesia and tropical regions of the western Pacific.
“’We are particularly affected by the rising sea temperatures which is increasing higher than normal.”
